Telepathy
It’s 21 June 2020. We came out of lockdown not long ago and, for a few days now, I’ve gone back to working at the shop. I’m at the counter, serving a customer who is about to give me his details for an order. I look at him and think, «This man is called Martín». And indeed, his name was Martín. Is telepathy a projection in time?
In that same period, spring or summer of 2020, I was watching another customer, a fairly old man looking at mountain boots. I thought, «This man is a hunter and he’s 64». I went over to serve him and, indeed, he told me he was looking for boots to hunt in, «though I’m already 64 and don’t get out as often as I used to».
In the separation from the other, in solitude, we develop a sensitivity towards others that lets us perceive again, or perhaps connect with, a deeper network: love/mycelium.
